Jame’s brought his BMW R65 wheels and fork legs in for a coat of Deutsche silver as this was the closest match to the original BMW silver. A returning customer, James always does a great job in preparing his parts, once again degreasing and prepping ready for blasting and coating.
The post blasting results show that the scuffs and scrapes on the wheels disappear, almost without a trace. The fork legs highlight the corrosion over the years, but not too bad. The media blasted surface leaves a great material for the powder coat to get a really good key into.
With some masking up for the brake disc contact face and making sure nothing enters the fork legs, the parts are ready for the powder coating process, after which the wheels and fork legs come up looking fantastic in Deutsche silver!
